History
Founded in Silicon Valley in 2006 by high tech industry and business professionals ArmTech Congress was later officially adopted by the Government of Armenia as its industry business platform to foster high tech growth and networking in the worldwide Armenian professional community.
The first ArmTech Congress was held in 2007 in San Francisco, California, followed by conferences in Yerevan, Armenia in 2008 and 2011, and San Jose, California in 2009. Held under the patronage of His Excellency Tigran Sargsyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the Congress has become a nucleus of leading Armenian IT and high tech professionals, academia and officials from all over the world.
In its elaborating path of growth, since the 2011 conference in Yerevan, Armenia, ArmTech Congress extended beyond the pan-Armenian to become an international platform of most prominent global industry leaders, professionals and academia interested in the growth of Armenian high tech industry and the vast investment opportunities offered by it. Today the ArmTech community has among its members such renowned global names as Synopsys, Microsoft, Cisco, Mentor Graphics, D-Link, ST Kinetics, Renesas Technology, and many others.
