Dear Associates,

It is the third time in a row that Armenia will be participating at the ArmTech Congress. Although within this short period, the Congress has become already prominent both in motherland and Diaspora, it serves the communication and cooperation of Armenian professionals in the high technology industry, goal, where all the efforts of Armenian Government are directed. Due to the circumstances, Armtech in its initial stage was hit by the new challenge-recession and financial crisis, when all the countries reported economic decline. It is obvious today, that after awhile, when the economic development will again proceed as usual, the world will never be the same. Therefore, certain reforms are required to perform today. In this very sense, Armtech is a unique opportunity that provides a chance to discuss and develop an objective dialogue of communities, project Armenia's economic development priorities and create favorable conditions to implement them.

His Excellency Tigran Sargsyan, Prime Minister of RA

I am delighted that, today when the demand of rapid development of progressive technology has become an urgent issue around the world, ArmTech Congress has become traditional, which enables us to follow up the acquired agreements, decision making process and to make continuous the cooperation of high technology industry professionals and implementation of corporate projects. I am hopeful that ArmTech Congress will possess more constructional character, unite more confederates, and in the result of their unified discussions, advanced concepts will bear, new approaches and solutions in the high technology industry sector will be determined, this sector’s development is significant especially during the recession period and which, I am sure will greatly promote the knowledge based economic development in Armenia.
I wish success and new achievements in ArmTech Congress ’09.

Mr. Nerses Yeritsyan, Minister of Economy of RA

ArmTech is honored to receive the support of His Excellency the prime minister, other dignitaries and speakers, the committee members, the participants and the media for ArmTech Congress ’09. We return to Silicon Valley this November to further strengthen and highlight the significance of the synergy between Yerevan, which strives to become a high tech market leader, and Silicon Valley, which is already the acknowledged world leader.

Mr. Tony Moroyan, Co-Founder & Co-Chairman of

ArmTech Congress

The first two ArmTech Congresses have established ArmTech as a substantial force in positively shaping the future of Armenia’s high tech sector. ArmTech provides a forum for business, government and academia to come together and really make a difference,”, and a high tech industry executive. “In bringing these areas together, ArmTech is establishing a high tech business platform that serves as a blueprint for progress and accountability. This November, we will review the progress on this platform and continue to move forward on establishing Armenia as a globally recognized high tech destination. This year’s ArmTech holds the promise of exceeding the achievements of the first two events.”

Mr. Rich Goldman, Vice president of Corporate Marketing & Strategic Market Development at Synopsys, CEO, Synopsys Armenia

I encourage the organizers, participants and guests of ArmTech Congress ‘09 to maximize the significant opportunities the conference will provide to discuss Armenia’s current achievements and future developments in the high tech sector. This sector has high potential and the event will undoubtedly promote cooperation among Armenians, Diasporans and international companies, as well as future investments.

Mr. Robert Harutyunyan, General Director of

Armenian Development Agency
